A few weeks ago, I wrote an article about how to get through the “boring middle” of a big goal. Almost every big goal goes through at least three key phases: a “honeymoon,” when it’s new and you’re exploring and discovering and it’s exciting; a “boring middle,” where you just have to keep chugging toward the end; and the conclusion, where you often rush to the finish and enjoy the success.
